Yep it’s about that time B!!! All the holy festivities have passed and the disrespect is back in effect ,so lets get it.

So much excitement!!!!!!!!

It’s Friday so we made it through another week and we’re  looking forward to a reckless/eventful weekend,but before we do so I would like to air something out real quick.Lately I feel like the news and media have been filled with reportings of crazy intolerance and bigotry .It gets very hard to handle sometimes .From the Trayvon Martin murder,the massacre in Norway ,Braveheart going crazy again and Mitt Romney’s face. All  this racism gets overwhelming(even for me and that is saying a lot).

The way the media handles these reports can affect a persons perception on the ordeal.The way the Trayvon Martin murder was reported  by news sources is a great example of how with the omission of facts,the exposition of half truths,yuxtaposition of images along with keywords one can sway the viewers opinion on the matter.For example:

 So before jumping to any conclusions do your own research and dont believe the hype,which brings me to ”Kony 2012″ .This shit was a movement for a while .I was on the west coast when I started hearing about this(I was trying to be as off the grid as possible)so I thought it was people celebrating the weather and Coney Island .

I was totally down with “Coney 2012″ but when I found out it was about Joseph Kony the Ugandan guerrila leader I was shocked not because this type of shit happened but because people actually pretended to care and they pretended really really hard .I decided to look into it and it was all sparked by a youtube video made by “Invisible Children,inc” ,the video ran almost 30 minutes and got so many views their website crashed .

Yeah I know right?That shit cray?Well guess what, it wasnt news and it was not new.The facebook “activists” and  weekend “warriors” started going in ,as if what they were doing was something important that was going to  make a difference.What was unsettling to me was the fact that shit like this has been happening for years and all over the world for different reasons, when it’s not for war its for the slave/sex trade etc,even here there have been recent cases of people holding other people hostage and making them their housekeepers(no,seriously).First off ,the search and destroy they wanted to incite for Kony was about 6 years late ,second raising awareness is one thing but thinking that watching a video ,contributing to the hive mind and talking shit was going to keep a child from being abducted in the middle of the night then you niggas are delusional as shit and third come on you guys are going to sit there and say that you really care about what happens in Africa?

Please niiiiggggggaaaaaaa ,the last time you niggas gave a shit about Africa was when that movie blood diamond came out #stopitb

New York City has always been a place that gladly embraces different cultures and traditions, sometimes even in grand fashion. With that fact in mind you must always remember that New Yorkers will waste no time utilizing something new, cool, or inspiring to their advantage. This was the case on Friday March 9th in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where a thousand plus ravers, dub steppers, underground music heads, inquisitive and unsuspecting cats young and old, looking to release of stress in a unique way attended the first annual Festival of Colors titled, Holi NYC.

All across the world, people participate in two days of prayer and feasting to celebrate an ancient Hindu story of good triumphing over evil in order to mark the coming of spring. But what has caught the eye of most is the fact that participants cover themselves in brightly colored powders to celebrate the Hindu festival, or festival of colors. Originating and most popular in India, this tradition has spilled into the streets of New York City and beyond. Participants and revelers alike have come together to celebrate life, love and good luck in the new season.

 

Leave it up to a bunch of bored ass, enticed, fun hungry Americans to jack such a holy tradition and switch it up to our liking. Our liking, being a gigantic light and music infused warehouse in the middle of nowhere, consisting of people from the age of 16 with bags of vibrantly colored powder in their hands ready and fully willing to rock you at point blank range and leave a tennis ball sized purple blast on the side of your face.

 

After contemplating for a good week on whether this was a good idea, my crew of 6 decided to give it a shot. Friday night came and the crew found themselves searching for the low key spot for a good half hour, adding to the allure by the minute. Then, as you stand in line mentally preparing yourself, you’re adrenaline starts pumping as you envision walking up to the bouncer, flashing whatever piece of ID you could muster up for the event, having them place those 2 free bags of powder in you’re hand (if you bought your ticket on pre sale), strolling into the rainbow colored haze and tossing that first bag of colorful destruction..only to walk 1 step inside and get bombarded by a barrage of red and blue grenades at the hands of a bunch of tenth grade girls in bandannas and war paint. They laugh in your face and run off to claim their next clean victim..like my boy New MexiKyle right here.

BOMBED

As you settle in and get the hang of the Festival of Colors you begin to get your own shots at people, get yourself some shots of whatever you and your crew are feeling and begin to listen to the music that’s playing and notice that the artists on stage are pretty damn good, even though they act as background noise for the madness that is basically ’007 Goldeneye’ on paintball mode. This was the first but certainly not the last Festival of Colors to grace the Big Apple, and when the event returns I’ll be waiting with my clothes I could care less about, bandanna or SARS mask, and crew itching to drop ROYGBIV bombs all over the place.-The Loose Cannon

What is up guys???????????You know what it is it’s finally Friday dranky drank should be strong this week because we all know that it’s been crazy and we made it through another one so let’s celebrate.

First thing is first the New York Giants won the Super bowl 21-17 over The New England Patriots. Eli Manning finished with 296 yards and a touchdown on 30-of-40 passing, and was named the Super Bowl MVP.

Ahmad Bradshaw ran right up the middle to give the giants the lead and it was an awkward looking touchdown to say the least .

Tom Brady felt bad I’m sure so his Victorias Secret supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen took it upon herself to stick up for her man.You cant blame the girl for doing so either,conversely that would make for a real tense locker room to read what she said click here.If the Pat’s locker room gets too tense he can just go to his wife’s dressing room for consolation.

In other super bowl news…….Madonna …….. Seriously I didn’t even know what to think. It was just so weird, it was like the crypt keeper just decided to start singing Madonna songs, and her irrelevance was never so clear as it was last Sunday. And to make matters worse for her, in an attempt to appeal to the younger demo she brings a whole spectrum of individuals that couldn’t be more random .Cee lo Green,M.I.A,Nicki Minaj and LMFAO shared the stage with Madge, the females have a song together and the rest just seemed to be assembled as Madonna’s attempt at growing her hymen back .Needless to say my friends and I were not impressed and I don’t think anyone at the bar was either except for the uptight leather faced group of ladies in front of us .She’s not bad she just needs to just recognize that its not the same and she needs to adjust to her age .

And did anybody catch M.I.A giving the finger during her performance ?That little Sri lankan girl is g’d up.

 

Maybe if  Mark Wahlberg would have been there he could have kept all of this from happening because according to him he can stop horrendous shit from happening, he was supposed to be on a flight from Boston to L.A that crashed into the world trade center on 9/11 . Here is what he said:

Something that no one could have stopped was “Watch The Throne” and its success both in sales and on tour.Their first video for the single ”Otis” saw Jay and Yeezy destroying a Maybach just because they could and when I heard that they were making a video for ”Niggas in Paris” I thought to myself “this is going to be the most baller shit ever!!!!!”I pictured the most extravagant shit I could think of.From the Olson twins fighting over Prince William ,to the queen of England cheering on , some of the  wonders of the world being blown up, Kanye wearing a jet pack made out of the adamantium they used for wolverines skeleton ,Obama dancing ,the pope throwing up gang signs ,the rock wrestling a tiger on top of the Eiffel tower so we were all excited .

……The video has a seizure warning at the beginning of it…..a seizure warning meaning that if you watch it you will possibly get A SEIZURE. NIGGAS IN PARIS? MORE LIKE NIGGAS IN THE HOSPITAL.

Is “Hating” really hate ?

What is up my peeps ??Superbowl Sunday is this weekend which has a lot of people talking about where they are going ,what they are doing ,what they are drinking ,how much they are drinking,and of course what team they’re rooting for.

So lets say I dislike a team because of the town they are from and because their quarterback is a spokesperson for uggs and I don’t understand why a guy would wear uggs ,does that make me a hater?I mean seriously, stating my opinion makes me a hater?Disagreeing with a person or a group of individuals for any particular reason at all makes me a hater and of course being a hater is bad so you don’t want to be a hater. By this logic since disagreeing=hater, having your own opinion=hater,  hater =bad ,this must mean  having your own opinions +disagreeing =bad and you want to be good so you should just agree with everything that the masses agree on right? .

Because the Lord knows that there is nothing wrong with this picture.(what you know about beer in a wine glass?)

Hater (n.):

A person that simply cannot be happy for another person’s success. Instead of giving acknowledgment in courtesy, a hater often pursues his/her point by exposing a flaw in the target subject. Hating, the result of being a hater, is not exactly jealousy. The hater doesn’t really want to be the person he or she hates, rather the hater wants to knock someone else [sic] down a notch.

For example I know this individual, lets call him “Sweet baby …..” for the sake of the story that would always flaunt and show off(along with constantly looking at their Facebook profiles as if he was replaying the whole ordeal in his head while sitting at his desk during work hours) the girls he had bedded in an attempt to make himself feel better or maybe to justify his existence on earth. So when “sweet baby “would show me these dragons he had slayed with his penis he was opening the door for me to give my opinions but when my opinions did not match what he would have liked to hear “Sweet baby ” would make a scene and call me names the most common one being Hater.

After a while it got to a point where I was hesitant to give my opinions because since they were my own and were not engineered to match his opinions and boost his ego he would go all insanity wolf on me.So I would keep my mouth shut but I guess my face gave me away and even though I was not saying anything he would still get mad ……………Wtf? So I tried something different, whenever he would in a professional co-ed environment open up his Facebook as big as he could on his computer  screen to ogle at the boars he had plowed while breathing heavily I would hit him with ….

And in doing this not only did I make myself miserable I also became an enabler.By not condemning his behavior he assumed I was condoning it and therefore proceeded to be more outrageous and disrespectful when it came to his pursuit of being the wildebeest coochie whisperer.I couldn’t do it anymore,I was not going to do it anymore I refused to do so .So next time he said some shit I let him have it ……..

Ok no I didn’t smack him ,but I told him that after seeing the warthogs that he’s hunted down putting ones penis in a blender doesn’t seem like that bad of an idea.It might seem harsh but whatevs it was the truth and I felt liberated he was mad but hey  you cant please everyone all the time and there is nothing better than staying true to yourself.

Now without further ado “The Bearded Man” and his opinion on the matter.

“Don’t fear being criticized by others for “hatin’ ” . The 1st amendment, along with a solid belief in Democracy, allows one to criticize, complain and bitch. But wait a minute. I am always being told that I cannot “hate” (Criticize)by Mickey Mouse media circles. You mean to tell me that I’m supposed to remain silent and not voice my opinion? That I’m supposed to remain silent when the house is burning? That I’m supposed to remain silent in the face of hypocrisy? That I’m supposed to remain silent when we all know that what is being done here, there and everywhere is wrong?….the citizens of Germany remained silent when 12 million Jews and innocent victims were being fried by the Nazis. The catholic church remained silent when Native Americans were being slaughtered throughout the Americas. Most people remained silent when millions across Rwanda were being systematically wiped out. Not “hatin” is undemocratic. Not doing so allows cancer to breed unchecked. It is like preventing oneself from breathing. Not doing so is an example of denial. And any belief or philosophy that does not allow one to criticize, debate and reject is suffocating…so my children “hate” all you want….It is your 1st amendment right. That is all.”-The Bearded Man”

Pow Pow another week has gone and we have made it to what we’re always looking forward to…FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

This is a reenactment of the way the white people in the office where I work behave.

It’s been a pretty good week, especially if you’re a New Yorker. The New York Giants have made it to the Super Bowl. They beat the San Francisco 49er’s on Sunday in sudden death overtime.

The game was a nail biter, the 49′ers defense was on point but so was Eli. The Giants win moved them to the bowl where they will face the Patriots in a rematch of the 08 Super Bowl (Giants won). The Patriots on their way to the championship beat the Bronco’s, after that day Tim Tebow was no longer a virgin because the Pats ran a train on him. Then they beat the Ravens, either way hopefully this Superbowl Sunday will bring a repeat of ’08.In other sports news New York Yankee Jorge Posada retired this week after 17 years with the yanks. I guess you win some you lose some, especially on the internet. Last week we were all going crazy over SOPA and PIPA, so we “kept it from happening” when in reality what happened was that a whole bunch of countries and companies in Europe went onto sign Acta which means “Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Act”. This is some more shit we need to stop.

But on another note Sam Lachow dropped a new video for the latest single off his album Brand New Bike. The name of the single is ………wait for it ……….”Rude Pussy” and niggas ain’t talking about felines. They shot the video in Seattle and it’s a fun time, a catchy song, and a great way to kick off the weekend. Soon you will see little kids in the street singing “R.U.D.E  P.U double s Y rude pussayyyy”

The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), also known as House Bill 3261 or H.R. 3261, is a bill that was introduced in the United States House of Representatives on October 26, 2011, by House Judiciary Committee Chair Representative Lamar S. Smith (R-TX) and a bipartisan group of 12 initial co-sponsors. The bill, if made law, would expand the ability of U.S. law enforcement and copyright holders to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods.[2] Presented to the House Judiciary Committee, it builds on the similar PRO-IP Act of 2008 and the corresponding Senate bill, the PROTECT IP Act.[3]

The originally proposed bill would allow the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as copyright holders, to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. Depending on who makes the request, the court order could include barring online advertising networks and payment facilitators from doing business with the allegedly infringing website, barring search engines from linking to such sites, and requiring Internet service providers to block access to such sites. The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a crime, with a maximum penalty of five years in prison for ten such infringements within six months. The bill also gives immunity to Internet services that voluntarily take action against websites dedicated to infringement, while making liable for damages any copyright holder who knowingly misrepresents that a website is dedicated to infringement.[4]

Which basically means that whatever “infringes” on copyright can be attacked. For example if you were to upload a Michael Jackson song you could get up to 6 years in jail, that’s one more year than the guy that let him die under his care. For the individuals that have poor reading comprehension go here for the act in laymans.

Now imagine not being able to share music, movies, shows, pictures or any form of media and even worse getting prosecuted for it. Plenty of websites are protesting the act like facebook, reddit, twitter and so are we. I feel if other sites like “bang bros” and or brazzers were to shut down more people would take action against the act.
